Hatha Yoga
Hatha yoga is the most practiced yoga style in the west, with the goal to find the balance between body and mind through physical exercises (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama) and meditation. Hatha is translated for one as „deliberate, active“, but also as ha-tha „sun and moon“. The latter refers to the balance between male aspects – active, hot, sun – and feminine aspects – receptive, cold, moon – in us all. Through Hatha yoga we develop a balance between strength and flexibility in our body, as well as a balance between effort and dedication in each asana.
